This is a story about the Thea sisters and a theatre with lots of unfortunate events happening in it. In this story Violet had auditioned for playing violin in the theatre as a part of the orchestra in a Romeo and Juliet play. The play was in London. The Thea sisters were finishing their exams and thinking about where to spend their summer vacation when they got the news that Violet got the part in the orchestra. She contacted the orchestra and got all the details and they told her that she had to leave the following week. The Thea sisters were really happy for Violet. With just a few days to go Violet wanted to spend most of the time with her friends.
Violet observed that her friends were to busy to spend time with her. Sad she went to her room. Later that evening the Thea sisters gathered and on seeing Violet’s sad face, they told her that they were busy in trying to finish all there work so they could go to London with Violet and that they wanted to give her a surprise. They packed their bags and headed for the airport. London was really pretty and had lots of sights to offer. First they headed to Bed and Breakfast the hotel they were going to stay in. Then the Thea sisters explored London and even visited the theatre Violet was going to perform in.
Next morning everyone got ready and accompanied Violet who was suppose to be at the theatre for practice. On their way they bumped into a violin player. His name was Sarat and he was one of the players in the orchestra. Violet and Sarat both were selected because of their great auditions. The other players in the orchestra had been working in the theatre for quite a while. Sarat talked rudely with them. It seemed like he was in a hurry. They reached the theatre and started practicing, when the producer asked the Thea sisters (except Violet) to get his lunch from his favourite restaurant on the other side of the town.
The producer kept on asking for their help. Later that day they figured out that the costumes were the wrong size. Once the practice was done the main actors Mary and Will came and introduced themselves to the Thea sisters. The Thea sisters told Mary about Sarat’s behaviour. Mary said he was really friendly but maybe just a little shy. On listening this, Paulina got an idea to get Sarat to be friends with them. They planned for a tour followed by a picnic. At the end of the tour Sarat had been comfortable with the Thea sisters and was very friendly to them. They went to drink five o’ clock tea at a English tea room.
There Pamela bumped into the director’s assistant John who didn’t seem to have recognised them. Puzzled they went back to the theatre. After that many unfortunate events took place in the theatre. The producer was frustrated from these incidents. There has to be someone behind these unfortunate events. To find out who the culprit is please read the book. I will give this book 8/10 stars because it was a nice story but it was easy to figure out who the culprit is(if you read it in full detail). The genres for this book are adventure and fiction. The age level is 7–10 years and grades 2–5.
